Schedule Requirements

The construction schedule is submitted by the General Contractor (GC) and intended to organize all tasks that must be accomplished in a logical sequence to successfully complete the project as prescribed by the contract. The baseline schedule must reflect  phasing requirements, applicable codes and regulations to complete the project as defined by  specifications, drawings, and other related documents . The GC must also consider available resources and the intended means and methods to produce a viable project schedule.

The New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) employs a team of qualified scheduling professionals to review, critique and monitor project schedule submittals from Notice to Proceed to Final Completion.

The GC is required to retain competent in house resources or secure the services of a qualified Scheduling Consultant in order to fulfill schedule reporting requirements during the life of the project.  The GC shall submit  baseline schedules, monthly updates and if required,  impact schedules to the Project Officer (PO). The Project Officer is responsible for ensuring all project schedule(s) are submitted in compliance with SCA contract requirements.

Schedule submissions shall include three hard copies of the schedule and one electronic copy along with a  narrative report that outlines project activity and problem areas experienced or anticipated during the previous reporting period.
