Real Estate Services (RES) is comprised of Real Estate and Tenant/Landlord Relations. Real Estate identifies potential sites for new schools in school districts that have capacity needs. RES shepherds new sites through the public review and environmental (State Environmental Quality Review) processes to obtain all statutory approvals so Legal can negotiate and acquire property on behalf of the New York City Department of Education (DOE). Real Estate negotiates lease and license agreements for Universal Pre-Kindergarten, classroom and administrative space on behalf of the New York City DOE.
